The trip home was long and uneventful. Joshua did real good. He only had one minor melt down, he was so tired. When we got home Uncle Tim & Aunt Rinda had the house all set for us. They had balloons, posters, and food waiting for us all in an a unusually straightened house. Along with an anxious Amber who cried when she got in mom's arms on the couch. She is so sweet. We had to wake Joshua from the drive from the airport but he stayed
awake and had fun with his new big sister. There are so many toys Joshua doesn't know what to play with, Amber's solution is ALL OF THEM.
We were so tired we didn't even cut the cake last night. But, we did get in a bath for the kids. Joshua shivers like he is in the North pole every time he gets out of the bath until he is completely dressed.
We got in a good night's sleep but we were up by 4:30 and 5AM. Joshua had a couple of explosive night events that took a while to calm him down. He was so tired and disoriented. We did go back to sleep and when he woke up later in the night he was easily consoled and went back to sleep.
By the way, Amber is a bit taller than Joshua. We thought they might be real close in height but Josh is still a bit shorter.

You did it, just clicked your heels and are back in Kansas! Amber crying in Wendy's arms makes me weepy too. She was a very big girl to have you gone so long and then to bring home a brother! She is so sweet, she'll make life easier for Joshua and they'll be best friends before you know it. Get rested and recovered. Thank you so much for doing the blog. I feel like we got to go along with you to get Josh and it's been a wonderful trip. Many blessings to all of you as you move into this new phase of your life. Love you, Grandma Val, Deb and Sophie
